Abstract
Titanium Dioxide is a naturally occurring oxide of titanium which is sourced from ilmenite, rutile and anatase. It is used as a food additive for food coloring and has the E number E171.
Use/Application
Titanium Dioxide is used as a pigment in paints, varnishes, paper, plastics, printing inks, fibres, rubber, cosmetic products and foodstuffs. It is also used in ceramic glazes as an opacifier and seeds crystal formation. It is also used in cosmetic and skin care products as a pigment, sunscreen and thickener and as a photocatalyst under UV light.

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
It should be stored in a segregated area in a cool and ventilated place away from combustible materials. Keep in a tightly closed container, sealed until ready for use. It is packed in 25kg or 50kg HDPE bags or drums as required.
