|Appearance||It occurs White or almost white, fine crystalline powder.|
a) It gives a red color to a non-luminous flame.
b) A white or yellowish-white precipitate is formed.
c) The solution gives the reaction of citrates
|Solubility||Freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol (96 per cent).|

|Acidity or alkalinity||Not more than 0.2 mL of 0.1 M hydrochloric acid or 0.1 M sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the indicator.|

Shelf life, Storage and Packing
It should be stored in a segregated area in a cool and ventilated place away from combustible materials. Keep in a tightly closed container, sealed until ready for use. It is packed in 25kg or 50kg HDPE bags or drums as required.
